The engine is one of the most important parts of your car. It’s what makes your car move, and it needs to be in good working order for your car to run properly. But how can you tell if your engine is having issues? Here are a few signs that you may need auto engine repair.

Sign #1: Your Check Engine Light is On

One of the first things you should do when you start having engine trouble is to check your car’s dashboards for any warning lights. If your check engine light is on, it’s a good indicator that something is wrong with your engine and you should take it in for a diagnostic as soon as possible.

Sign #2: You Hear Knocking or Pinging Sounds

Another sign that something may be wrong with your engine is if you start hearing unusual noises coming from under the hood. If you hear knocking or pinging sounds, it could be a sign that your engine isn’t getting enough oil or that the oil itself has gone bad. Either way, it’s a problem that needs to be addressed ASAP.

Sign #3: Your Car is Overheating

If your car starts overheating, it could be a sign of a number of different problems, but one of the most common is an issue with the engine. Overheating can damage many different parts of your car, so it’s important to get it checked out as soon as possible.
